First Annual Insight Fire Training TIC Academy
November 6th-8th, 2026
8 Hour Lecture Day, November 6th, offered at only $49 per person
H.O.T classes, Nov. 7th & 8th, offered at $699 per person (lecture day is included in the price and attendance is required) Students shall bring their own PPE, SCBA, two cylinders, and facepiece. We will have a limited number of SCBAs available for those that are flying to the site.
Day 1: Lecture Day
The lecture portion of TIC Academy will be on November 6th, from 8:30am to 5:30pm. The lecture will include some of the the following topics:
Day 2: H.O.T Day
H.O.T Day attendees will be separated into groups and complete the following stations:
8 am to 12 pm
12 pm to 1 pm: Lunch will be provided
1 pm to 3 pm: Orientation Burns
3 pm to 3:30 pm: Break
3:30 pm-5 pm: Thermal Rebound Demonstration
5 pm-5:30 pm: Question and Answer with Insight Training Staff
Day 3: Final H.O.T Day
Students shall be divided into four groups to complete the following objective driven learning station:
8 am to 12 pm (a 30 minute break will be provided):
12 pm to 1:15 pm: Lunch will be provided
1 pm-5 pm:
Afternoon session shall consist of dividing the students into two main groups of 25 students which will be subdivided into groups of five. Each group will then participate in scenario-based application style learning.
The groups will be given a live fire scenario in one of the larger burn buildings. Each of the five students shall fill a designated role such as: incident commander, fire attack, search, ventilation, and rapid intervention.
November 6th, an in-depth 8-hour lecture on Tactical Thermal Imaging will be provided by the Insight Fire Training Cadre.
Students will particiapte in objective driven learning stations consisting of requiste knowledge, orientation burns, and a thermal rebound demonstration.
Students will participate in objective driven live fire learning stations in the first half of the day. The second half of the day will consist of the students completing live fire scenarios.
8-hour in-depth lecture on Tactical Thermal Imaging provided by the Insight Fire Training Cadre.
Two days of live fire hands on training: All HOT students are required to attend the 8-hour lecture. The lecture fee is included in this registration cost.
